Who’s The Favourites For Premier League Season 21/22?

Premier League 2021/2022

Great news Premier League, the most popular league with an estimated 643 million passionate supporters, is on again.

It never ceases to amaze its fans week after week with unpredictable scores, games played at a fast tempo and stunning goals scored that wow everyone. And the icing on the cake is the fans are back to electrify the stadiums when singing for their teams. Who’s going to win it this year? In this article we’re talking about the title contenders and a bunch of lucrative betting tips.

Manchester City

Manchester City under Pep Guardiola who’s truly a football genius, have the know-how to win another Premier League. They lost Aguero, a super striker who moved to Barcelona as a free agent, but he only played 12 Premier League games last season, so we won’t expect that to impact the team. On the other side Man City snatched Grealish for £100m from Aston Villa, a top-drawer attacker, versatile and capable of dribbling past his opponents and creating chances for his teammates.

Manchester City won the league hands down. They had a surprisingly slow start the first couple of months till Pep came up with an engenius new formation putting De Bruyne up front and asking his wingers – Sterling, Mahrez or Foden – to step into the box and fire goal after goal. This brave decision was a turning point leading them to  stride ahead and lift another title with a significant twelve-point difference, delighting their fans around the world. Can they do it again?

Chelsea

Thomas Tuchel has revolutionised Chelsea since his arrival. He worked his magic last year and not only did he manage to secure a spot in the top four, but won the Champions League, one of the toughest competitions in football. While they didn’t lose any of their stars, the major addition to an otherwise scaringly deep squad – Ziyech, Chillwell, Pulisic, to name a few – was Lukaku for £97.5m from Inter who is big-built, strong and technically gifted, being almost impossible to mark him.

Every team should be jealous of Chelsea’s defence. Rüdiger,  Azpilicueta and Thiago Silva stay on the top of their games and keep the opponents away from the box. It would come as a surprise to see them conceding  more than 1 goal a game.

They’re sorted at the back, but what about the attack? This is where Lukaku, the gigantic player, comes in. Last year, Chelsea signed Werner who’s great at causing headaches with his constant movement with and off the ball, but he struggles with scoring. The blues signed Lukaku cause they obviously needed someone with a proven record in the Premier League of notching up goals week in week out. Can they snatch the Premier League title from Manchester CIty? Here are the odds.

Liverpool

Liverpool rely on the Anfield’s power this season. Liverpool fans can spark enthusiasm at the stands which is easily transmitted to the players, going the extra mile to secure the 3 points in every game, an element which wasn’t there last year due to Covid19. Liverpool lost Wijnaldum as a free agent which is a setback as he was a starter and played all the Premier League games last season. On the other hand, they signed Konate from RB Leipzig, the young promising defender who came to add depth in Liverpool’s defence.

This season looks promising for the Reds. They were unlucky last season having many injured players, especially in the defence like Van Dijk and Joe Gomes who were sidelined at an early stage of the season and missed most of the games. They’re in full power now hungry for success, having the Red supporters galvanising Anfield again.

They didn’t splash out on a top player this summer – they rarely do – , but what makes them title contenders is the sense of togetherness that Klopp has created by building a solid spine  with players like Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Van Dijk, Robertson, Henderson, Salah, Firmino and Mane and keeping them at Liverpool for a bunch of years. Can they go against the odds and win the Premier League this year? Here are the odds.

Manchester United

Ronaldo is the biggest hope for United to win the league again. United’s major departure this summer was Daniel James, the young promising winger who is going to play for Leeds United from now on. When it comes to the ins, United did really serious business this summer, signing Varane the experienced defender and former Real Madrid player, Sancho the English wonderkid from Dortmund and Ronaldo – a natural-born winner –  as the cherry on the top.

Ronaldo’s going to make United fans dream about the Premier League title again. We’re expecting to see United defending better than last year as Varane who’s won the World Cup with France, Champions League and the Spanish league with Real Madrid can make an unbeatable defensive pair with Harry Maguire.

United’s attack should also be better this year with Sancho on the flanks, an electric youngster who dribbles past defenders for fun and Ronaldo upfront a real goal machine who never stops breaking the one goal record after the other, winning titles and more titles for any team he’s played for. They haven’t won the Premier League since 2013 and it seems to be too many years without a league title.
